NMAT 2021 Preparation Tips

Candidates planning to appear for NMAT 2021 have almost 3 months to prepare for the exam. But when one starts preparing even 3-4 months seem too short to complete the syllabus if one has not planned their preparatory in advance. The candidates must study in a smart and efficient way to bring out the best within the limited time that they have. So below are some of the best tips to prepare for NMAT. Read More

  • Know NMAT 2021 syllabus: Firstly one who decides to appear for NMAT or any other competitive exam must know the syllabus thoroughly. Study the topics from which more questions are asked and devote lesser time to the topics from which very few questions are asked or the topics from which no questions have been asked for years. This strategy will help in preparing the most important topics and leaving the unimportant topics. Check NMAT Section-wise Syllabus, Important Topics
  • Prepare a timeline to complete the entire syllabus: Time management is required not only during the exam but also during the preparation for NMAT exam. Preparing a timetable can be helpful. The preparation can be completed in either 3 months, 6 months, or can also take up to 1 year, depending upon how one has planned one’s preparation. The timetable should include the period fixed for completion of topics and also the time for practice, NMAT mock tests, and revision. Check NMAT Mock Tests
  • Understand the concepts: Conceptual clarity is of utmost importance. One cannot predict how twisted the question may be asked in NMAT 2021 examination. But if one’s basics are clear then one may find a way to unravel the question and choose the correct answer. One can join coaching classes for NMAT 2021 along with the help of books and videos. You can just take crash courses if you don’t want to take the regular coaching classes. Crash courses can be best if the candidates want to divide their time efficiently between coaching and self-study.
  • Know your strength and weakness: Knowing one’s strengths and weaknesses is a quintessential part of the preparation as when one knows which topics are easy to understand and solve, then it becomes easier to devise a full-proof strategy. One must spend less time on their strengths during the preparation for NMAT exam. The topics that are difficult for you to understand and solve will be classified as your weaknesses. But these topics are equally important and may hold more questions in NMAT 2021 exam. So rather than skipping those, one should try to spend more time mastering them. This helps to minimize the number of wrong answers and unattempted questions in the actual exam.
  • Know the shortcuts and tricks: Time management is very much crucial during the examination. NMAT has sectional timing and you must try your best to attempt each and every question within this limited time frame. Coaching classes for NMAT exam preparation teach some tricks to solve questions quickly. You can also find videos on youtube for such tricks and shortcuts.
  • Practice the sample papers and previous years’ question papers: Practice will help you increase your speed in solving NMAT exam questions. Practice will also help you in figuring out how to clear your basics. Solve the sample papers and previous year's NMAT questions papers to get an idea of what type of questions are usually asked in NMAT by GMAC examination. It will further help in understanding the question pattern, help you revise, increase your speed, and boost confidence. Download NMAT Free Practice Papers
  • Take official preparation for NMAT or other mock tests: NMAT mock test is like real exams, where you have to solve the question paper in the required time. It helps you analyze your preparation level and highlights the areas that require improvement. NMAT by GMAC also offers official preparations for the exam. So students can also take this and figure out how good they are with their NMAT exam preparation.
  • Do Revise Important Topics: Before you start a new day, revise what you have studied the previous day. When you prepare for new topics every day, there are high chances of forgetting the old topics. Hence it is important to revise the topics every day. Don't spend too much time on such topics, just take a quick look and move forward with your preparation.
