Millia Institute of Technology (MIT), Purnea, established in 2002, is approved by AICTE, Govt. of Bihar and affiliated to Purnea University. It offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the discipline of Engineering and Technology and Management.
Admission to MIT is done on the basis of BCECE, JEE Mains, or Common Entrance Test for all the courses. The institute has a dedicated Placement Cell which provides 100% placement assistance to its students. If the vacancies still exist after the cut off date declared by the concerned Government authority, the Principal may admit diploma holders who have passed the diploma course in Engineering/Technology with minimum 60% marks to take admission in 2nd year B. Tech. in any Branch.

At MIT, 50% of the total intake is filled through Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) , Patna, Bihar and the rest 50% of seats is filled through the Management Quota.
