Admission to NSHM Durgapur is done on the basis of CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/JEMAT entrance exams. Apart from this, NSHM also offers various UG and Diploma courses in the discipline of Culinary, Engineering, Technology, Health Management, Computer Science, Sports Management, Hotel Management, etc.

NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata has a placement and training cell that helps students in learning the placement procedure. The cell organizes various training programs such as pre-placement talks, industry interface, group discussions, mock interviews, internship programs, etc. A total of 76 students got selected for an internship through Internshala and 2743+ applications were submitted by NSHM students on Internshala. The institute has completed its placement drive for the year 2018-20 and the Highest CTC stood at INR LPA whereas the Average CTC stood at INR LPA.
